This training program enables participants to understand the basic principles of working around and on an aerial work platform and a basket.
It provides information on health and safety related to the use and operation of the equipment, as well as on laws, regulations, and standards, and the precautions to take when using it.
Program Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and assess the risks associated with operating an aerial work platform or a basket based on the worksite, the environment, and the nature of the work to be performed;
- Operate and inspect equipment;
- Identify the appropriate protective equipment for the work conditions (personal protective equipment);
- Identify existing and foreseeable hazards in order to implement corrective measures;
- Understand and be familiar with the standards, codes, laws, and regulations related to operating an aerial work platform or a basket.
