This training program enables participants to safely install and operate a suspended platform, in addition to teaching them all the fundamentals of working around and on this type of platform.
It provides in-depth information on health and safety related to the use and operation of the equipment, as well as on laws, regulations, and standards, and the precautions to take during use and installation.
Program Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and assess the risks associated with suspended platforms based on the workplace, its environment, and the nature of the work to be performed;
- Master the methods for installing a suspended platform, operate the equipment, and inspect it;
- install a fall protection system;
- identify existing and foreseeable hazards in order to implement corrective measures;
- Understand and be familiar with the standards, codes, laws, and regulations related to suspended platforms.

This training is intended for anyone who is required to install, use, or modify (an engineer’s certification is required for installation and modification) a suspended platform; to perform compliance inspections or installations; or to obtain a certificate of competence.

This training covers the installation, inspection, use, and operation of a temporary, non-permanent suspended platform.
It also enables an engineer to conduct the inspection required to issue a certificate of compliance for a temporary suspended platform.
