This training program helps participants understand the basic principles of working around and on a suspended platform.
It provides information on health and safety related to the use and operation of the equipment, as well as on laws, regulations, and standards, and the precautions to take when using it.
Program Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and assess the risks associated with suspended platforms based on the workplace, its environment, and the nature of the work to be performed;
- Operate and inspect equipment;
- Identify the appropriate protective measures for the working conditions (collective and individual protection), install the equipment, and inspect the materials to detect any abnormalities;
- Identify existing and foreseeable hazards in order to implement corrective measures;
- Understand and be familiar with the standards, codes, laws, and regulations related to suspended platforms.

This training is intended for any worker required to perform work around and on a suspended platform, as well as any worker designated to operate one.

Prerequisites
- 18 years old
- Training in Fall Protection or Working at Heights
This training course covers the use and operation of a temporary, non-permanent suspended platform.
It DOES NOT PERMIT the installation or approval inspection of a temporary suspended platform.
