Program Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and assess the risks associated with rigging and operating an overhead crane, taking into account the workplace, the environment, and the nature of the work to be performed;
- Operate and inspect equipment;
- Identify the appropriate protective equipment for the work conditions (personal protective equipment);
- Identify existing and foreseeable hazards in order to implement corrective measures;
- Understand and be familiar with the standards, codes, laws, and regulations related to rigging and the operation of an overhead crane.
